1. Manual Vacuum Aspiration
This manual on providing medical termination of pregnancy
during the first trimester with manual vacuum aspiration
(MVA) techniques has been developed by Janani to assist general practitioners
in rural and low-resource settings. The manual pays special attention

operative care and follow up care.

2. Family Planning
This manual covers DMPA (Depo Provera), IUDs, and
sterilizations. The section on Depo Provera includes its advantages
and demerits, health benefits, side effects and management of Depo Provera
injections.
The section on IUD will assist in training the general
practitioners, female health assistants and health workers in IUD insertion
and removal in simplified way.
The guidelines for sterilization have been developed
and simplified for general practitioners working in the rural and low
resource settings with minimum facilities.

3. Reproductive Health

management of normal labour and resuscitation of the new born. Janani
